TRENTON, Ont. – July 31, 2017 – Charlie Sandercock bounced back from last week’s mechanical problems in the best way possible with his sixth win of the season in Pro Late Model action at Brighton Speedway on Saturday night. It was his seventh win overall and tenth top-five finish in 12 races this season.
“We had a good car,” Sandercock said. “My team has given me an awesome car all year and I can’t thank them enough. After our mechanical issues last week we had a front row starting spot this week, so it was clear sailing.”
The victory capped an exciting month of July for Sandercock where he earned a pair of wins and a second-place finish in four starts.
“We have been excited each and every week to race,” Sandercock said of his success. “We have had a good go so far and all we aim to do is keep our equipment as prepared as possible and have fun. We are always looking forward to the next race.”
Sandercock and his team will be off from Pro Late Model competition at Brighton this week, but will be in action with the team’s 360 Sprint Car for competition with the Southern Ontario Sprints.
“We’re looking forward to racing the Sprint Car again,” Sandercock said. “We have had a lot better luck this season than last. I’m eager to make more improvements and aim for the win. Racing against the best like Dylan Westbrook is awesome and makes you aim to be better each week. To be the best, you have to beat the best. If I can even hang with him than I am going to be happy.”
Race time for the Southern Ontario Sprints at Brighton Speedway is 7:00pm. For admission information and a full schedule, visit www.brightonspeedway.ca.
